We are happy to share our latest publication on the effect of transposable elements in the regulation of immune-related genes. We identify 12 insertions associated with allele-specific expression changes in immune-related genes and we provide further evidence for the functional role of three of this insertions: one acting as a silencer, one as an enhancer, and one with a dual role as enhancer and promoter. This work co-authored by Miriam Merenciano and Anna Ullastres has been published in Genome Biology.
