Miriam Merenciano, Vivien Horváth, Maria Bogaerts, Lain Guio, and Josefa González shared their ERC research project with high school students at YOMO Barcelona. The González Lab researchers and La Ciencia Al Teu Món designed several activities to showcase the different approaches used in the lab to discover the role of transposable elements in adaptive evolution. We thank Oxford Nanopore Technologies for sharing a demo MinION and ERC for funding to carry out this outreach activity.
