From the 5th to the 8th of September the European Drosophila Research Conference took place at the Swiss Tech Convention Center at EPFL Lausanne. Claudia Fricke (University of Munster, Germany) and Josefa Gónzalez were invited to organize the Population Genetics and Evolution session. The topics covered in the session range from nutritional stress to lifespan to pigmentation. Llewellyn Green, a postdoc research at González Lab, presented a poster on the genomic basis of copper tolerance in European Drosophila melanogaster natural populations. Next EDRC will be in Lyon on the 17th-20th September 2021.
