Distinct genotypes and phenotypes in D. suzukii

We have collaborated with Omar Rota-Stabelli lab and colleagues in the analysis of European and American populations of the invasive species Drosophila suzukii. Besides genetic differences, phenotypic studies further indicate that European and North American populations have differences in hatch rate, generation time, and parasitoid susceptibility. These results indicate that transfer of findings across populations found in different geographical regions should be done with caution.
