Miriam Merenciano, a third-year PhD student, has been awarded an EMBO Short term fellowship to work with Fillip Port at the Division of Signaling and Functional Genomics at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg. Miriam and Fillip will work together to generate several CRISPR mutants using Drosophila melanogaster natural strains.
