I studied Genomic Sciences at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and then joined the group of Amparo Latorre at the University of Valencia. My research focused on studying genomes of insects that hosted endosymbionts and their adaptation to this phenomenon through a bioinformatic approach. At the group of Josefa Gonzalez my research will be focused on exploring the contribution of transposable elements to the adaptation of humans and Anopheles gambiae to different types of stress.
