I am a masters student currently coursing the 2020/21 program of Advanced Genetics in the UAB. My Biological Sciences undergraduate studies were carried out in Cardiff University, with a sandwich year of labwork in Córdoba working on epigenetics. My work, which I will be basing my masters thesis on, will focus on studying the effects a particular transposable element insertion has on the responses to cold stress and the immune system.
