Tlex: an accurate program to estimate TE frequencies

We are currently working on an update of Tlex, a computational pipeline that allows to accurately estimate transposable element population frequencies from individual genomes and pooled genomes sequencing data. Stay tuned for news on the new version.
The original Tlex was designed at the Petrov Lab at Stanford University by Anna-Sophie Fiston-Lavier, Josefa Gonzalez and Dmitri Petrov. It was originally designed to work with individual genome sequences (Fiston-Lavier et al 2011). The second version of Tlex included several improvements to the software including the ability to work with pooled genome data (Fiston-Lavier et al 2015). This second version can be downloaded here.
