September 2016- present
I am bioinformatician by training. After completing my undergraduate studies in biology at the University of Salta (Argentina), I awarded a PhD fellowship for the University of Salamanca (Spain). Since then, I have been interested in using genomics and computers for decoding the complex relationship between genotype and phenotype. Here, at Gonzalez Lab, I am using long read sequencing technologies (PacBio and Oxford Nanopore) and molecular evolutionary genetics for identifying biologically functional transposable elements in D. melanogaster.
