From the 8th to the 10th of July, the 22nd French National Congress on Transposable Elements (CNET) took place in Lyon. Besides the French community, Fred Brunet and co-organizers also host scientist from other European countries. Our lab was invited to share our latest results on the role of TEs in adaptive evolution. The congress was followed by the first Mobil-ET Bioinformatics days in which an afternoon of conventional talks was followed by a morning of discussion on the hot topics in the TE bioinformatics field with a great community atmosphere. It is great to have the opportunity to draw from the expertise of so many talented scientists. Looking forward to ICTE2020 in St. Malo and to more Mobil-ET Bioinformatics days!
